I've always been told that I'm like a raccoon because I'm drawn to all things shiny. Give me sequins, shimmer, and shine, and I'm one happy girl. While my wardrobe is lacking in shiny pieces, that doesn't stop me from admiring them from afar.

Sequins are glitzy, and instantly dress up an outfit. Whenever I see them, I instantly associate them with some glamorous, fabulous lifestyle. Sequins make me think of socialites, it-girls, and celebrities.

When girls wear sequins, it always seems like they're got places to go, and people to see. It always seems like they're the life of the party, the center of attention, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

That being said, I think my all time favorite way I've seen sequins styled has been with something completely unexpected. I love seeing slouchy sweaters and sequin skirts (or something equally opposing). I love that it's not what you expect, and I think it's a fabulous way of dressing up an otherwise ordinary outfit.

In addition to shiny things, I like new things (how's that for a horrible transition?). I updated the blog's design today, and I like it so much better! 

After I relaunched this blog, I tried to make it nice, but to be honest, it looked kind of horrible and I felt frustrated, because I didn't know how to fix it with my extremely limited design skills. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon a stream of good websites, tutorials, and downloads today, and voila!There are still a few small things I want to do, but I like it so much better!
