I attended a seminar today for work, so today's outfit called for something a little more professional (aka not jeans). Luckily for me, our warm streak continued through today, because I don't actually own any slacks... It was cold in the room, so I wore my cardigan for most of the day, but I quickly shed it once the seminar was over.
The dress I wore had been sitting in my closer for months unworn. I bought it sometime last fall, and for some reason this is the first time I've worn it. Sadly, it's not the only unworn item in my closet. I have a bad habit of impulse purchases (particularly with clothes on sale and clearance) and even though I like them, they just hang in my closet. I should probably work on that...
It's nice to have a change of routine, sometimes. I love my routines (more than the average person, I'd imagine), but it was so nice to do something different today. My job is great, but it's definitely been a bit stressful lately so today's seminar was a breath of fresh air. And far more interesting than I had anticipated, which is always a bonus.

Fortunately, the seminar got out at four, so I was able to get home earlier than normal. I definitely needed that time to begin moving furniture for the work they're doing in my apartment tomorrow. It took a couple hours, but I finally think I figured out an arrangement that works. I'm definitely exhausted though. It's hard work pushing a queen size bed around!
With that, I'll leave you with this gem of a picture. My phone didn't want to stay up, and it kept falling when I was trying to take pictures. In this case, it had just started to fall on me. The struggle is real.
My dog Lily has decided she wants to be a model, by the way.
