Affordable Fashion

I know I'm stating the obvious, but shopping can get expensive. It's something that I love doing, and I try to be happy simply window shopping, but sometimes my self-control loses the battle and I end up buying something I don't really need.

I feel like in fashion, and blogging especially, "affordable fashion" is embodied in the thrifting phenomenon. So many bloggers are able to find these fabulous things at thrift stores, but I'll be honest: I don't have that kind of dedication. Other places that are popular aren't super expensive, but for someone who doesn't have a ton of money to subsidize my shopping habit (or lovely sponsors to send me things), it's still a bit more than than I am willing to spend.

But that's not to say people like me don't have options. There's a whole range of stores out there that aren't thrift store cheap but are still affordable. Forever 21 is, of course, the most famous example. Target is another prime example of this kind of store, though some of their designer collaborations can get pricey.

If you've seen more than one or two outfit posts of mine, you'll notice that most of my clothes come from one of a few places. Forever 21 and Target, yes, but also Charlotte Russe and Fred Meyer (a Northwest chain along the same lines of Target and Walmart-- a little bit of everything). Part of it is definitely convenience, but part of it is my desire to buy clothes that are cute, but budget friendly. Sometimes I get self-conscious, especially blogging, that a lot of my clothes are from Fred Meyer, but you know what. They're cute, I like them, so why should I be concerned?

I don't really know what I'm trying to say, other than there are options out there. You just need to open your eyes.

Do you have any favorite, affordable places to buy clothes that aren't as popular in the fashion and blogging worlds? I'd love to hear about them.
