You know how sometimes you come across a quote and you think, "Oh my god, this is exactly how I feel"? Well, I had one of those moments a couple months ago reading Looking For Alaska by John Green. When I read this quote, I immediately had to stop and copy it down. I had never come across such a good description of how I felt before.
My entire life, I've wanted to be different, to be special. I wanted to be one of those people that people meet and just know that they are going somewhere in life. I wanted to radiate success and passion and intensity.
I feel like this quote is a perfect representation of what my goal in life is to become. I have yet to decide what I want to do when I "grow up" (though that's getting alarmingly soon, with graduation next month...). All I know is that whatever I decide, I want to do it so well that people are in awe.
I want to hit the ground running and never look back. Not only in my future career, but in life. I just want to live and experience everything to the fullest, but right now I feel stuck and I know I'm not living up to what I could be. While I work on trying to become the person I want to be, this quote could serve as the inspiration. So that one day, maybe, I can say, "I have streaks to maintain. I am one of those people who scorches the ground with my intensity."
